Minnesota made Wolf Tooth Components chainrings are quite innovative with their alternating profile teeth designed to be ran without a chainguide using a SRAM Type 2 or Shimano Shadow+ clutch type derailleur. Recently TwentyNineInches published a final review of how well the chainring performed for them in a variety of situations. It looks like they have had the same result as a few other reports I’ve read. Simply put “they work really well”. Check out the full review for more details.
Wolf Tooth also announced that their 120BCD chainrings are now available in 36T to fit SRAM XX cranks.
