American made Paul Component Engineering has put their new cassette hubs called the RHUB and Disk RHUB on their site. The Disk RHUB is a high flange ISO disk hub made for 10-speed cassettes. They partnered with Industry Nine to make this new cassette hub using I9’s hub shell, axle, bearing system, and mountain freehub.
The freehub ratchet works by using 2 sets of 3 pawls providing 120 points of engagement. Hubs with this high of engagement rocket down the trail. They help you perform technical maneuvers really easily. I’ve had the chance to ride Industry Nine’s wheels in the past and they are very impressive to say the least.
Currently the Disk RHUB is available in 32 hole drilling in a anodized black or silver finish. 36 hole hubs and high polish finish will be available soon. Check out Paul’s site for more details.
