Oddity Cycles is out of Ft. Collins, Colorado. I got to talk to Burnsey about his personal ride at the 2015 North American Handmade Bicycle Show to get some details about this unique ride.
The bike is set up as a 29+ most of the time but can be run with 26″ x 4″ tires.
The build features titanium parts from Black Sheep Bikes in the form of their truss fork, handlebars, and seatpost. Black Sheep and Oddity actually share a building space together so it makes sense that they’d also share some parts.
It features all hand bent steel tubing with thru-axles front and rear. Oddity’s signature design is their unique bent tubes with the style of this bike called the “Ghost Ship”.
The chainstays feature telescoping tubes for chain tension. The seatstays, nicknamed “Stay Crazy Stays”, feature 5 bends per stay and offer greater trail compliance than standard seatstays.
Burnsey calls this bike his everyday rally bike that does well on a variety of course, especially technical terrain.
