5 Things You Need To Know: 2015 FOX Racing MTB Forks

FOX Racing Shox has released a bunch of info on their 2015 model lineup. They have updated quite a few areas across their line of forks. I’ve made a quick list of the top 5 things you need to know about what changes have been made.

Updated Damping Throughout – 32 and 34 series forks have updated damping tunes for better small bump compliance and traction. The 36 damper uses a redesigned valve system offering better traction, wider tuning range, and reduced friction.

New CTD Adjustment – 32 and 34 Factory models offer on-the-fly CTD damping adjustment and 7-click Trail mode fine-tuning.

Better Seals and Lubrication – 32, 34 and 36 forks feature a redesigned seal head architecture that virtually eliminates breakaway force. 32, 34, 36 and 40 forks use an advanced lubrication oil that integrates Molybdenum from the Kashima Coat formula.

Brand New 36 – 36 RC2 fork is the lightest they’ve ever made. Half a pound lighter than last year at 4.19 pounds. The 36 chassis was refined similarly to what they did with the 32 and 34 chassis over the last couple years. It also uses a negative air spring rather than a coil, which helps it drop some weight too. The new 36 has a completely new thru-axle design convertible between 15mm and 20mm axles (I’m not sure very many people will be stoked with this redesign).
