[2013 NAHBS] Moots YBB 650B and Mount Stem

photos by: Jake Moore

Moots had a few other goodies in their booth at the 2013 North American Handmade Bicycle Show besides their award winning trail maintenance bike concept. Moots also had a new stem faceplace with a mount and a new 650B bike.

New Headlight/Camera mount stem plate

The new faceplate fits all 4 bolt Moots stems. It was designed as a light mount but can be used as an action camera/computer mount as well.

The YBB 650B is Moots’ first bike using this wheel size. For now they will be building frames using this wheel size on their custom frames only. 650B frames will be made as production models in the future.

It was built to use a 100mm fork and has just over 1″ of travel in the rear. The headtube is 44mm and uses a BB30 press fit bottom bracket. The frame cost is a little over $3500.

The bike also had a couple of other trick components on it. This bike has the only 100mm 650B fork available from FOX and the only Mavic 650B wheelset in America.
